Surprisingly serene cycling and walking area along the Hudson River and Upper Westside of Manhattan ... The pathways are flat and in relatively good condition - there are restrooms & a few great Riverside cafes nearby ... Well worth a wander or picnic if you have an hour or two to spare 👌

Very peaceful little green pocket of Downtown Manhattan - with pet dogs chasing squirrels whilst people have relaxed picnics on the banks of the Hudson River ... Great views all around with the Statue of Liberty in the distance on the Hudson waters horizon 🗽🌊

Unlike the Bethesda Fountain; the beauty of this relatively small Terrace was unexpected on our cycle through Central Park ... It's so clean, detailed and intricate - kinda like something you'd find in a French or English Palace ... The nearby buskers add to the thoughtful ambience ... Well worth stopping for a while and taking it all in 😌

A great and iconic big city park! Welcome respite from the relentless towering concrete jungle of Manhattan. Plenty to see and do whether walking, riding or in horse drawn carriage. It's the second best big city park I've visited (behind Hyde Park in London) with its only detriment being some dingy gross corners across the north and eastern sides.

Aside from the litter; it's bloody hard to fault any of the features and monuments in Central Park - the Bethesda Fountain is no exception ... Cool & calming place to hang (or listen to random buskers) with friends 👌 ... even with the hundreds of tourists passing through
